Maintenance Engineer United Feeds Dungannon As part of a small engineering team, you will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and to optimise the performance of our highly automated feed mill. Working closely with production colleagues you will ensure that equipment is properly set and maintained, monitoring performance, carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as necessary in a fast-paced animal feed production environment. Your job will include: Routine preventative maintenance Overhauling mechanical plant and machinery General building fabric repairs Maintaining and monitoring consumption of M&E utilities Providing support for the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment. Assisting with continuous process improvement projects To support and assist production when necessary to ensure the continuation of the production process. Adhere to all site H&S rules and encourage others to do the same. Essential Criteria: Minimum 2 years recent and relevant mechnical or electrical engineering experience in a factory or manufacturing environment. This role will suit candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experience. Demonstrate a strong electrical engineering knowledge and experience. Ability to work independently and act as the main contact for maintenance when management is absent. Ability to work as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Desirable: Experience or qualification in electrical engineering. This role operates a 40 hour week comprising of 5 x 8hour shifts. Shifts commence on Sunday night at 10:00pm and finish on Friday night at 10:00pm. Shift patterns include 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm & 10:00pm-6:00am (rotating weekly). Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility at times around rotas and participate in a reasonable amount of overtime. All overtime is paid at a premium rate. Why Dale Farm?
