Job Description
Optis Consulting is actively seeking a System Analyst to join their Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, New York, Montreal, London, or Salt Lake City team. The System Analyst will work as a part of a small team headed by an experienced Project Manager and Technical Solutions Manager. Supporting the technical team with the integration of our partner’s solutions (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua and GEP) with their ERP and other internal and 3rd party systems. Assisting in developing technology solutions and mapping Optis customers’ business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.
We need our System Analysts to be confident, versatile and passionate, with an ability to tackle new problems as we continue to help our customers to improve. They must be logical thinkers, have a strong ability to collaborate as part of a team and manage ambiguous or uncertain situations. They must have exceptional communication skills, be adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in leading the delivery of technical client project work for Optis customers as directed by the project manager and Technical Solutions Manager (developing the client action plan, coordinating the completion of the action plan, developing the formal proposal, participating in the presentation of the proposal, influencing key decision‑makers).
* Assist clients with sample code, and configuration, help clients debug integration code, prepare test cases, etc.
* Interact with engineers and developers at Optis’ customers who are integrating their legacy systems with SAP Ariba, Coupa and/or Ivalua.
* Work with Optis/Customer project managers to meet project timelines and quality obligations.
* Work with integration engineers from our partners to successfully deliver the solution.
* Work well in both individual and team settings both on and off client sites.
* Manage customers where up to 30% of your time may include travel.
* Participate in Optis internal projects.
* Continue to develop your professional skills, mentor others and seek mentorship.
* Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities, doing lead generation activities, or working with partners for referrals.
REQUIREMENTS
* 1 to 3 years of overall experience working with integration technologies.
* University degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Interest in learning about web-based applications and the SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud models, infrastructure, architecture, and integration concepts as well as application of these technologies in the enterprise environment.
* Basic understanding of web technologies.
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Intermediate knowledge of SQL, writing queries and fundamental relational database concepts.
PREFERRED OR ADVANTAGEOUS
* Basic knowledge of application deployment and system integrations.
* Experience with SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua and/or GEP Procurement solutions.
* Knowledge of Procurement business processes.
* Experience presenting technical narrative.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
* Ability to travel within Canada and the United States.
