Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience which means we now have an opportunity for a Building Services Engineer to join the team. We’re looking for a hands-on Building Services Engineer to play a key role in keeping our Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre and regional spoke sites running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll take ownership of building services maintenance across the sites, working in a fast-paced, automated environment. From reactive repairs to planned improvements, you’ll ensure critical infrastructure performs at its best while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency. A major part of the role involves managing external contractors and working closely with Facilities, Operations, and Engineering teams to support a 24/7 operation. You will be: - Maintaining and improving building services and site infrastructure - Working hands-on across HVAC, refrigeration, power distribution, plant, generators, and site services - Coordinating and supervising multiple contractors on site each day - Delivering safe, compliant maintenance through strong permit and contractor control - Supporting audits, statutory inspections, and CapEx improvement projects - Identifying efficiencies through energy and performance data About you: You’re a multi-skilled engineer who enjoys being close to the action and making a visible impact. You’ll bring: - Experience in a 24/7 FMCG or highly automated warehouse environment - Strong building services knowledge (HVAC, chillers, power, sprinklers) - A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a strong safety focus - Confidence managing contractors and working across multiple stakeholders - An HND/HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline - Desirable experience includes CMMS systems, health & safety qualifications, and a background in multi-skilled maintenance or facilities roles.
