As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, creative lessons to pupils aged 5 to 7. You will play a vital role in ensuring consistent learning and emotional support while managing classroom behaviour firmly and fairly in line with school policies. Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet the national curriculum to Year 1 & Year 2 groups Create a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning Manage pupil behaviour confidently and consistently, setting clear expectations Assess, record, and report on pupil development and progress Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support learning Uphold school values and maintain safeguarding responsibilities at all times Foster resilience and independence in young learners through high expectations and care Requirements for KS1 Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification Recent teaching experience in KS1 within a UK primary school Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks A nurturing and adaptable teaching style Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply Why Join GSL Education?
