Join us as an Examination Invigilator and help ensure every exam at New College Swindon runs smoothly, fairly, and professionally We’re looking for organised and vigilant Examination Invigilators to join our Exams Team at New College Swindon. You’ll help ensure exams run professionally, fairly, and in full compliance with regulations. What you’ll do: • Supervise exam sessions across both college campuses • Welcome candidates, organise seating and manage entry/exit from the exam room • Ensure exam rules and regulations are followed at all times • Maintain a quiet, controlled and supportive environment • Monitor for malpractice and report concerns immediately • Respond to student queries calmly and appropriately • Distribute and collect exam papers and materials • Support students with exam clashes or supervised waiting • Follow emergency procedures when required • Work closely with Lead Invigilators and the Exams Team • Attend mandatory training to stay up to date with exam requirements What we’re looking for: • Excellent communication and people skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to remain calm, confident and professional under pressure • Comfortable enforcing rules and maintaining authority • Good IT skills and general computer confidence • Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours (including occasional evenings) • Experience working with learners or in an education setting is helpful, but not essential • Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.
