As our client continues to deliver on their well-defined, successful growth strategy, a restructure to their service business calls for a senior manager to step in and oversee the Service and Technical Support teams, ultimately creating a structure to support the growth of service work by >25% by the end of /23.
The newly appointed Service Contracts Manager will receive an attractive salary, discretionary bonus and company car.
Youll be responsible for the delivery of all sales orders and repeat business that requires service visits, answering technical questions from customers and distributors and providing technical support to the sales team where installations are required.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Ensure all service work is completed on time and to specification
2. Organise departmental managers responsibilities, priorities and establish a training plan for the entire service team in order to meet business objectives
3. Support the sales process when theyre assessing installation work so that jobs are accurately planned and costed
4. Ensure all service staff are competent and trained to undertake the roles and jobs theyre assigned, from both a product and safety perspective
5. Manage job booking administration (incl. hotel bookings) to ensure all jobs due for that year are completed
6. Provide customers and distributors with appropriate levels of technical support
7. Ensure all reports, technical information and customer records are kept up to date
8. Ensure all health and safety requirements for site staff and equipment (incl. vans) are up to date and being adhered to
9. Manage reports from each job to assess what was undertaken to achieve the desired result? were there issues on the job (e.g having to call into the office, site delaying the process)? did the job run to time? did service staff have all the required parts? did service staff sell any parts out of the vans?
Required Skills & Experience
10. 5 years management experience in technical role, preferably installation and service
11. Significant and demonstrable planning, organisation and a track record of delivering
12. Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
13. Self-starter with a positive demeanour and can-do attitude
