At this stage in your career, the role you choose doesn’t just shape your portfolio… it sets the trajectory for the next decade.
You’ve completed your Part 3, proven yourself in practice, and you’re ready for the next step. But the environment you step into now will determine whether you plateau in production, or accelerate into meaningful responsibility on significant projects.
Here’s why this role is different...
Join a medium-sized, award-winning Central London studio with the perfect balance: big enough to deliver £20m-£300m residential, cultural, hospitality and mixed-use projects, but focused enough that every architect takes on visible ownership and responsibility.
Led by former Foster + Partners directors, the practice sets an ambitious creative standard - one that will sharpen your design thinking, technical delivery, and leadership potential.
This is a chance to embed yourself in projects that matter, while carving out a career path that could lead to senior leadership opportunities.
What you’ll do
* Work directly with project leaders and senior partners on complex UK and international projects.
* Take ownership of design packages across multiple RIBA stages, from early concepts to delivery.
* Lead day-to-day coordination with consultants, clients, and contractors.
* Contribute to design reviews, planning submissions, tender packages and site inspections.
* Gain exposure to both creative and technical aspects, with clear progression opportunities.
You’ll thrive if you have:
* 2-6 years post-Part 3 / ARB experience in a UK-based practice.
* Strong experience on large-scale, design-led projects (ideally £20m+).
* Proficiency in Revit (essential), with additional software skills (Rhino, Adobe Suite) desirable.
* A collaborative, organised approach, with confidence in consultant coordination and reporting.
* Full rights to live and work in the UK.
Why this role?
* A 35-strong team blending creativity and delivery - alumni of Foster + Partners and other leading studios.
* Direct mentorship from senior leadership, with visible progression routes.
* Proven track record of development: multiple architects promoted and eight team members supported through Part 3 in the last two years.
* Exposure to projects across sectors and RIBA stages, not siloed into one phase.
* A culture that genuinely values work/life balance alongside ambitious design.
Your next chapter includes:
* Competitive salary (tailored to experience) plus discretionary bonus.
* A balanced, supportive studio culture with ambitious yet realistic delivery.
* Access to career-defining projects that strengthen your portfolio and future options.
* A role you won’t find advertised anywhere else - This opportunity is exclusive via Grõ Careers.
