The Elective Access Transformation Manager will lead and manage programs focused on improving and streamlining patient access to elective healthcare services. This role involves strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives aimed at optimizing patient pathways, reducing waiting times, and enhancing overall access to care.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Patient Access team. The team is responsible for booking outpatient appointments, day case and inpatient activities, medical records, clinic preparation, overseas visitors, admissions, reception, and supporting the Trust with patient validation.
Applicants must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work independently, prioritizing their workload effectively. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to respond to the dynamic demands of the role.
You will need strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with operational, clinical, and nursing teams across the Trust, both face-to-face and via telephone.
The post holder will take ownership of projects within the department and support the Patient Access Centre Manager as needed.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing strategic plans for elective access transformation aligned with organizational goals and national priorities.
* Overseeing project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
* Engaging with stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, patients, and partner organizations, to ensure collaboration and buy-in.
* Managing change processes, facilitating adoption of new processes and technologies, and minimizing service disruption.
* Monitoring program progress, tracking KPIs, and reporting on performance.
* Identifying and mitigating risks that could impact program delivery.
* Ensuring resources such as funding, personnel, and technology are effectively allocated.
* Delivering benefits and value to the organization and patients.
