Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care team in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will help make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in the area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Supporting children in long-term care, via Care Orders or Section 20
* Developing long-term care and pathway plans, and assisting young people with their transition to adulthood
* Collaborating with families, foster carers, residential, and semi-independent settings to meet children’s needs
* Assessing children's needs
* Performing court work under the Children Act 1989 & 2004
Requirements:
* Social Work Degree or equivalent
* Knowledge and experience of statutory frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practices
* Proficient IT skills
* High level of determination, organizational skills, personal drive, energy, and ambition to meet targets and improve outcomes
* Strong assessment and case management skills
* Ability to work in a busy environment and meet tight deadlines
* Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months; on the update service? You may be fast-tracked through our recruitment process
