Job Description:
We’re looking for a skilled PLC Engineer with an electrical bias and a solid background in heavy maintenance environments. You’ll be responsible for PLC programming, supporting on breakdowns and fault finding, and collaborating closely with engineering and maintenance teams. This role is ideal for someone time-served who is still passionate about hands-on work, but also wants to get involved in wider project work and development.
You’ll be expected to:

Write, modify and troubleshoot Siemens or Omron PLCs
*
Deliver root cause analysis on electrical faults and breakdowns
*
Support production and maintenance teams with diagnostics and repairs
*
Participate in engineering projects with scope for project management development
*
Maintain and improve reliability and performance of automated systems
Skills & Experience:
*
Time-served, electrically biased engineer
*
Extensive maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
*
Proven experience with Siemens or Omron PLCs (programming & fault finding)
*
Comfortable working both hands-on and supporting strategic projects
*
Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving ability
*
Proactive approach to engineering challenges and continuous improvement
