We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients in a Primary Care setting. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Responsibilities
Working within your scope of practice, you will:
* Conduct clinical assessments, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with a wide range of conditions.
* Undertake home visits as required.
* Lead in the management of minor illness and urgent care presentations.
* Monitor and review long-term conditions where appropriate.
* Refer patients to other healthcare professionals or services where clinically necessary.
* Accurately record consultations and interventions using clinical coding and local systems (e.g. EMIS Web).
* Work in accordance with local clinical pathways, patient group directives (PGDs), and prescribing guidance.
* Provide health education and health promotion advice during opportunistic encounters.
* Ensure continuity of care by arranging appropriate follow-ups.
* Respond to and manage clinical emergencies within the practice.
* Engage in safeguarding matters in accordance with local policy.
* Collaborate with external agencies for the management of vulnerable patients.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in patient care within an emergency, hospital environment or Primary care setting is essential.
* Demonstrable knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to emergency medicine.
* Experience administering injections, performing physical examinations, and managing critical care cases is highly desirable.
* Prior experience working with triage protocols in high-pressure settings is advantageous.
* Valid driving licence with a clean record is required for operating emergency vehicles.
* Physical fitness capable of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving patients is necessary. Qualifications
* Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Has completed the First Contact Practitioner (FCP) pathway or currently working towards completion
* Desirable - Postgraduate qualification in primary care or advanced clinical practice

Pay: £27,369.34-£43,832.38 per year
