I'm looking for a Taxation Assistant Manager to work for an accountancy practice who have offices across Co Durham and Teesside, so you can choose the one that's best for you.

6. ACA or CTA Qualified or nearing qualification
7. Experienced in managing a portfolio of Tax-Based practice clients
8. Comfortable with a number of text preparation software
Working with a team who are involved in the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of clients, your responsibilities will include:
9. Review income, P11D and corporation tax returns from a variety of systems including CCH, Iris and Taxshield and providing feedback as appropriate
10. Review work of and aid development of Taxation Associates, Senior Associates and Seniors
11. Research more complex tax planning issues
12. Deal with more complex cases around residency, R&D, remuneration planning and capital gains tax, liaising with the client as appropriate with support from tax partners and directors
13. Undertake initial reviews of draft tax computations produced by audit and accounts colleagues
14. Action queries raised by tax colleagues on the draft tax returns and computations
15. Act as a point of contact for clients for adhoc queries Attend client and external events where appropriateAttend clients' sites or homes where requiredActively participate in department meetingsProvide training, guidance, and support to members of the team as requiredUndertake relevant CPD to maintain technical knowledgeMake suggestions for updating and improving the department and the firm's systems and processes
