About National Fostering Group

Rated as a Great Place to Work 2025, with over 20 years of experience, the National Fostering Group is the UK's largest independent children's fostering group, with over 2,500 foster carers.

We collaborate with Local Authorities to provide high-quality care for children and young people. Our agencies are recognized as 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted and Scottish regulators.

We offer a 4-day working week after a successful 6-month probation, which provides 80% of hours for 100% pay, as a performance-based benefit.

Role Overview

We seek a Carer Recruitment Officer to expand our foster carer community. Responsibilities include sourcing and encouraging inquiries through local engagement, conducting initial visits, and maintaining accurate records.

The role focuses on raising awareness of fostering, generating inquiries, and nurturing relationships with potential carers. Strong time management, coordination, and IT skills are essential.

You will engage with the public and existing foster carers, attend events, promote referrals, and analyze recruitment activities to inform strategies. Maintaining contact with prospective foster carers and supporting the assessment process are key duties.

Experience in customer service or recruitment is advantageous, but strong communication skills and a friendly, flexible approach are prioritized. Proficiency in Excel, database management, and diary management is required, along with excellent communication skills. Experience in marketing or database work is beneficial.

* Passion for growing our foster carer community
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Self-motivated, home-based
* Flexibility for evenings and weekends
* Organizational skills
* Full driving license and access to a car

Benefits

We offer up to 39 days of annual leave, increasing with service, a minimum of 9% pension contributions, Life Assurance, and access to various wellbeing benefits including discounts and retail vouchers.

Our work impacts the lives of children and young people positively, and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting their welfare.

Join a dynamic team dedicated to high aspirations and supporting personal goals.
