Up to £37,000 + annual bonus | 25+8 days holiday | Days Mon-Fri
As a Toolmaker, your duties will include:
* Assembly & dismantling of press tools to regrind parts / replace press tool punches, dies, springs etc.
* Manufacture new tooling parts using conventional tool room equipment such as surface grinders, conventional miller, pedestal driller and centre lathe.
* Carrying out preventative die maintenance (PDM), production tooling problem solving
* Contribute to the development of the tool room.
* Carry out precision grinding of small high precision parts using jigs & fixtures.
* Maintaining tooling spares.
To be successful in the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will -
* Be timed-served with a solid background in the use of conventional tool room machinery.
* Be able to read engineering drawings.
* Have experience of maintaining and repairing press tools.
Currently based in Dudley, this company will be relocating to a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Worcester mid-2026 and is looking for someone who is happy to move with them.
