Assistant Accountant - Sowerby Bridge | £28,000-£30,000 + Study Support
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing business based in the Ripponden / Sowerby Bridge area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with some accounts experience who's ready to take the next step, gain broad exposure across the finance function, and benefit from ongoing training and progression.
The Role:
This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll gain experience across key areas of finance, including:
* Assisting with monthly management accounts
* Accruals and prepayments
* Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Supporting wider finance tasks and projects
* Bank Reconciliations
* VAT returns
As an Assistant Accountant you'll be joining a supportive team and working closely with experienced finance professionals who will help you develop your skills and progress in your career.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in accounting and finance (e.g. Accounts up to Trial Balance)
* Strong IT skills, especially Excel
* Good communication and organisational skills
* A quick learner with a proactive attitude
* A genuine interest in building a career in accountancy
