About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support a range of school sites in Plymouth, with occasional travel to schools in Cornwall and Tiverton. This is a hands-on, varied role that is vital in helping us maintain safe, secure, and welcoming school environments.
You'll be:
* Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across multiple school sites
* Conducting statutory building checks (daily, weekly, monthly)
* Acting as a keyholder and attending emergency callouts when required
* Identifying and resolving maintenance issues proactively
* Coordinating with contractors and ensuring health & safety compliance
* Supporting larger tasks that require teamwork across sites
What We're Looking For
We want someone who is:
* Experienced in a similar maintenance or caretaker role
* Skilled in DIY and general maintenance tasks across multiple trades
* Organised, motivated, and able to manage a busy workload across different locations
* A great communicator who can work well with school staff and other stakeholders
* Flexible and proactive, with a can-do attitude
Driving is essential for this role. Ideally you will have access to your own vehicle, but we also have a fleet of company cars available for use when needed.
