East Cheshire NHS Trust is looking to recruit Bank Doctors in General Medicine at ST3+ level to enhance our Medical Staff Bank. Applications are welcomed from doctors to work on an ad-hoc basis to provide high-quality patient care and support continuity of care. This 'Bank' work is on an 'as and when' basis with no guaranteed hours, offering doctors flexibility to choose shifts around their lifestyle.
We are seeking doctors at ST3+ grade for shifts ranging from single shifts to extended posts, including evening, weekend, and on-call shifts. Full GMC registration and the appropriate competencies are required.
Responsibilities include:
1. Liaising between nurses, clinicians, patients, and relatives to support safe care.
2. Participating in board and ward rounds and related activities.
3. Providing supervision to staff as needed.
4. Maintaining professionalism, especially in documentation.
5. Arriving on time and being available from the start of the shift.
6. Co-operating with the workforce deployment team for shift administration.
7. Attending local induction when working in new areas.
8. Adhering to local policies and Trust values.
Pre-employment checks include GMC registration, references, health clearance, DBS check, identity, and right to work verification. A minimum of 6 months NHS/UK experience is required.

Due to contract terms, sponsorship for visas cannot be provided. Bank rates are subject to change and include a 12.5% annual leave payment. Hourly rates are:
* £80 (Social hours)
* £90 (Unsocial hours)
Depending on experience and grade.
