Are you passionate about bringing great ideas to life? We are looking for an analytical and forward-thinking professional to champion our new product pipeline. In this role, you will be the bridge between initial concepts and successful market launches, ensuring our business continues to innovate and meet our customers' evolving needs.

Shaping Our Product Future

* Product Strategy: Take the lead in our fortnightly product strategy meetings. You will present your valuable insights on New Product Requests (NPRs) and guide our team with clear, evidence-based recommendations on which exciting ideas we should take forward, pause, or rethink.
* Driving the Roadmap: Play a key role in curating the company’s product roadmap, ensuring all approved new ranges are integrated into our pipeline with realistic, achievable timescales.

Discovering What Works (Research & Validation)

You will champion our New Product Validation (NPV) process, ensuring every idea is commercially viable and genuinely solves our customers' pain points:

* Market Insight: Keep your finger on the pulse of emerging trends. You'll work closely with our sales team, analysing 'lost sales' to identify real market gaps and opportunities.
* Sizing the Opportunity: Discover the true potential of a product (TAM) through hands-on research, including engaging phone calls and face-to-face meetings with our target market.
* Commercial Feasibility: Put together concise, data-led overviews that highlight the expected Return on Investment (ROI) for brilliant new concepts.
* Competitive Edge: Benchmark proposed products against what is already out there, looking closely at pricing, quality, and our Unique Selling Propositions (USPs).
* Smart Forecasting: Develop grounded sales forecasts and volume predictions to confidently guide our purchasing and manufacturing teams.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure prospective products meet all relevant UK building regulations, health and safety standards, and material certifications (e.g., BS EN standards for steel and fencing).
* Sustainability Focus: Help us build a greener future by assessing the environmental impact and sourcing viability of new materials, aligning with the construction industry's shift towards sustainability.

Bringing Products to Life (Commercialisation)

* Seamless Launches: Work closely with our Website Product Administrator by creating engaging and highly detailed handover packs.
* Data Curation: Pull together all the vital commercial details—from accurate costings and proposed sales prices to exciting cross-selling opportunities and product variants.
* Technical Support: Provide the robust technical information needed for our specification sheets and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Learning & Growing (Post-Launch)

* Continuous Improvement: We believe in learning from every launch. You will run comprehensive post-launch reviews to see how new products are performing against initial sales and margin forecasts.
* Actionable Reporting: By sharing a fortnightly product report with key stakeholders, you will help us celebrate our wins, spot shifting market trends, and continuously refine our forecasting frameworks.

* Your Experience: You have a fantastic track record in a commercial research or product development role, and you love using data to tell a story and make confident decisions.
* Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of technical metal, steel, or construction products is a brilliant bonus. However, don't worry if you don't have this yet—we provide comprehensive training for the right person!
* On the Move: You hold a valid UK driving licence. We'd love for you to get out and about, travelling to trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to gather fresh, on-the-ground intelligence.
* Your Approach: You are naturally curious, highly analytical, and commercially astute. You aren't afraid to constructively challenge the status quo, and you thrive both when working independently and when collaborating closely with our sales and product teams.
