Join Our Team of Passionate Relief Chefs! We’re currently looking for experienced, DBS-cleared Relief Chefs/Cooks to join our trusted team, working across a range of rewarding environments throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for chefs who thrive in flexible roles and enjoy variety in their working week. You’ll support care homes, schools, catering companies, and event venues—stepping in during staff absence, busy periods, or special events.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Prepare and cook nutritious meals based on pre-set menus and specific dietary needs
* Maintain excellent food presentation and serve meals at the correct temperatures
* Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times
* Work closely with site teams to meet individual dietary requirements
* Modify meals for special occasions or resident preferences as needed
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and manage stock levels
* Quickly adapt to new kitchen environments, ensuring smooth service
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Chef or Cook (care, education, or catering preferred)
* Strong understanding of dietary needs, especially for the elderly or vulnerable
* Enhanced DBS certificate – Essential
* Reliable, adaptable, and confident working in new settings
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently under pressure
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle – Preferred
