We are excited to invite applications for a Consultant Anaesthetist at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust. The Anaesthetic Department consists of nearly 40 consultants and over 30 specialty doctors, trust grades and trainees. We are a motivated and supportive group, with a track record including RCOA accreditation (ACSA). The successful candidate will have a varied and fulfilling consultant career delivering anaesthetic services to a wide range of district general hospital specialties.

Essential
* Qualifications
o Full GMC Registration (or eligibility to obtain).
o FRCA or equivalent
o CCT in Anaesthesia and on GMC's Specialist Register; or within 6 months of CCT from the date of the interview or have confirmed eligibility for Specialist Registration.
* Clinical Experience
o Wide range of anaesthetic experience in all surgical specialties excluding cardiac surgery and neurosurgery
o Experience of emergency surgery in all ages of patients above 2 years of age
o Exposure to management of sick children in a district general hospital setting prior to transfer
Desirable
* Advanced training/SIAs (or equivalent) in regional anaesthesia, obstetrics, peri-operative medicine, bariatric surgery, acute inpatient pain, ophthalmic surgery
Experience in Teaching
* Demonstrable commitment and ability to teach and train undergraduates and junior doctors

* Simulation facilitator
