We are looking for an organised, friendly and proactive Office Administrator to join our busy primary school office. This is a key role at the heart of the school, supporting staff, pupils, parents, and visitors. Previous experience working in a primary school office is essential.

Contract: Full-time hours: 8.30am – 4pm
Location: Burnley
Start Date: Monday 1st September 2026
Salary: £14.30 - £15 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a warm and professional welcome to parents, pupils, staff, and visitors
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
* Maintain accurate school records, attendance data, and SIMS/Arbor entries
* Support with admissions, pupil files, and safeguarding documentation
* Assist with administrative tasks such as letters, reports, newsletters, and data collection
* Provide support for school events, meetings, and general daily operations
* Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience working in a primary school office
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Experience using school management systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, ParentPay)
* Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
* Ability to stay calm, flexible, and efficient in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* A positive, supportive and team‑focused approach
