Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least one year of specialty experience and a valid CO or compact RN license.
Responsibilities Position is in a general surgery operating room within a hospital setting
Patient population includes surgical patients across various specialties
Night shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
May require on-call availability during scheduled shifts
Uses Epic EMR system; previous Epic experience is required
Responsible for independent and delegated nursing functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
Performs preoperative and postoperative patient assessment, implements care plans, and documents all interventions
Participates in health teaching, counseling, and nursing care evaluation
Teamwork and collaboration with surgical and support staff are essential
Orientation and onboarding processes follow established hospital guidelines
Compliance with hospital policies, documentation standards, and current evidence-based practices is required
Requirements Active CO or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an RN in the operating room specialty
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with ASN required; BSN preferred
BLS certification through AHA required and must be valid through contract duration
ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications may be preferred depending on unit needs
Strong English language skills for speaking, reading, and writing
