Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our team full-time (40 hours per week), working five days a week. The ideal candidate will have a solid commercial driving and delivery background, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. This role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate flatbed trucks and long wheelbase vans. You will ensure timely, accurate deliveries while upholding high service standards.
* Responsibilities:
* Safely operate vans (Luton vans and long wheelbase vans) to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
* Load and unload cargo from the van.
* Ensure all items are securely fastened and protected during transportation.
* Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher.
* Inspect and maintain the van, ensuring vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and maintained to a high standard (daily checks, topping up fluids, reporting issues, booking services).
* Assisting with warehouse prep between jobs – checking kit, cleaning and packing equipment, and keeping the warehouse tidy and organised.
* Work closely with other crew members to coordinate and execute seamless setups.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients.
* Requirements:
* Valid UK driver's license (at least 2 years) and a clean driving record.
* You must be over 25 (insurance policy).
* Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver on long wheelbase and Luton vans.
* Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
* Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
* Good spoken and written English
* Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo from the van.
* Knowledge of flatbeds, warehouse operations, and mechanical equipment is desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience in the live events or production industry is beneficial, but not essential – full training will be given.
