About the Role We're looking for someone who is already Level 2 qualified and eager to take the next step in their childcare career. You’ll be working hands-on with children, supporting their development, creating engaging learning experiences, and being part of a nurturing, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities Childcare & Education Provide high standards of care—physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually
Support planning and delivery of rich EYFS and outdoor play activities
Keep children’s records accurate and up to date
Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
Help children settle in through a tailored induction process
Promote inclusion and support children with additional needs
Prioritise safety and understand safeguarding procedures
Support nutritional needs and follow food safety regulations
Be a reliable key person and ensure smooth transitions between rooms
Keep up to date with childcare developments and implement learning gap-closing activities
Health & Safety Maintain a clean, safe environment for children and staff
Adhere to all health and safety policies and emergency procedures
Ensure hygiene standards are met throughout the nursery
Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Operational Duties Represent the nursery positively to current and potential families
Assist during inspections and with any action plans that follow
Reflect on your own practice and seek continuous improvement
Team Support Help support assistants and students with daily tasks
Assist with onboarding and motivating new staff
Contribute to building a strong, inclusive team environment
Use time effectively and support others with good time management
General Follow all company policies and undertake additional duties when required
Attend out-of-hours events such as training, parents’ evenings, and open days
Support nursery-wide operations and be willing to take on domestic duties
Take part in regular supervisions, reviews, and goal-setting sessions
Requirements and Prospects Skills Desired Computer literacy

Qualifications GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Future Prospects Strong possibility of a permanent role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
