About MBM Vets
MBM Veterinary Group is a long-established, independently run practice based in Ayrshire, with three branches in Kilmarnock, Mauchline, and Beith. We offer a wide range of veterinary services across small animal, farm, and equine sectors. Our facilities include digital and dental radiography, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, ultrasound with colour Doppler, endoscopy, ECG, electrocautery, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory for diagnostic tests. We host a VetsNow out-of-hours service for on-site care during certain periods.
The Role
You will be involved in all aspects of small animal nursing, including consultations, surgical support, inpatient care, emergency triage, and reception duties. We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident in running nurse-led clinics and can contribute to client education and preventative health services. Client communication should be clear, compassionate, and professional throughout the animal’s care. You will be encouraged to pursue CPD aligned with RCVS guidelines, with full support from the practice to develop areas of clinical interest. A smart and professional appearance and a commitment to excellent service are expected.
Working Hours
Full-time: 40 hours per week or part-time: 20 hours per week. Full-time can be worked over 4 or 5 days. Part-time structure is open to discussion. The role includes participation in a 1-in-4 Saturday morning rota (8:30am to 1:00pm) with no out-of-hours or on-call responsibilities.

Salary
Salary up to £31,054 DOE
Requirements / Qualifications
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered)
* Experience in small animal nursing preferred
* Ability to run nurse-led clinics and contribute to client education
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to high standards of care
