Overview
This is a rewarding role as a Care Assistant at Agincare Homes Holdings in Hayling Island. You will be responsible for providing companionship, personal care, medication support, meals, and social activities for the residents. Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to residents. Your duties will include supporting them with daily tasks such as personal care, medication management, meal preparation, and engaging them in social activities. You will work closely with the nursing team to ensure the well‑being and independence of the residents. A day in the life includes:
* Companionship: providing support, companionship, communication and engagement
* Personal care: assisting with washing, bathing or showering and helping with dressing and oral care
* Medication: prompting, assisting or administering medications and creams
* Meals: helping with healthy meals, snacks and beverages
* Domestic tasks: light cleaning tasks
* Mobility: supporting the client to live as independently as possible
* Social activities: trips out, social engagements and activities within the home
Additional responsibilities include working with residents to promote well‑being and independence and collaborating with the nursing team.
What is required
* A minimum of 12 months of experience in a care home setting
* Right to work in the UK for at least 12 months
* Flexibility to work a mix of day and night shifts, including alternative weekends for eligible roles
Opportunities
