Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)
Salary: £32.83 p/hour

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a highly focused and collaborative engineering team responsible for delivering multimillion-pound improvement projects and implementing the latest manufacturing technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally and influence how world-class products are introduced into production.
What You'll Do
* Lead full life cycle delivery of NPI and continuous improvement projects (Technology, Quality, Efficiency).
* Identify and justify new business opportunities and capital investments.
* Develop robust manufacturing process solutions, PFMEAs, control plans, and process flows.
* Ensure project health is monitored and that People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are met.
* Produce equipment specifications, manage installations, and support safe commissioning.
* Mentor others on standardised workflows and best manufacturing practices.
* Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and lean initiatives.
What You Can Demonstrate
* Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing processes and technologies.
* Proven experience in project management, planning, budgeting, and cross-functional delivery.
* Understanding of manufacturing safety and regulatory requirements.
* Expert judgement and proven capability in structured problem-solving.
* Experience applying lean principles within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable
* Experience with construction or heavy equipment assembly, test, or finishing processes.
* Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter, 8D, 5Why, fishbone analysis, or Six Sigma.
* Degree or equivalent industry experience.
