Are you an accurate and quality-oriented technician seeking a role within an organization where your work will truly make a difference?
We are looking for a self-motivated Systems Technician educated to HNC level or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering. The role involves working as part of our Technical Operations Team to cover the Northwest, North Wales, Cheshire, and Merseyside regions, with occasional support across other UK areas.
We require someone used to a fast-paced environment, customer-focused, and capable of building strong relationships with internal colleagues and customers. Ideally, you will have experience in a medical devices environment or in servicing medical equipment, with a natural emphasis on continual improvement.
This is a field-based role requiring regular travel within the Northwest, North Wales, Cheshire, and Merseyside regions, and occasionally supporting other UK areas. A UK driving license is essential.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with a 24/7 on-call rota.
What does the role involve?
* Ensure all reactive customer support, installation, and evaluation requirements are completed in line with FME policies and procedures.
* Maximize machine uptime by performing high-quality standard and reactive service work within contracted timescales.
* Observe and apply all FME ‘Lean Service’ initiatives, processes, and tools as directed.
* Complete TAM documentation and ensure all service reports are accurate and timely.
* Assist in implementing technical upgrades and modifications of equipment.
* Oversee and participate in the acceptance and commissioning of new business awards.
* Be part of the 24/7 on-call rota.
