Buyer
Location: Henfield
Salary: up to £30,000
A well-established civil engineering and construction contractor is seeking a Buyer to join its procurement team based in Henfield, West Sussex.
This role is ideal for a Buyer with experience in construction or engineering procurement who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working closely with Estimating, Commercial, and Site Teams. The Buyer will be responsible for obtaining competitive quotations, placing orders, managing supplier performance, and supporting the wider procurement function to deliver best value across multiple projects.

Buyer Key Responsibilities
1. Obtain competitive quotations for materials, plant, and services
2. Raise purchase orders and expedite deliveries to meet programme requirements
3. Maintain supplier performance records and the approved supplier list
4. Support QHSE with supplier audits and compliance checks
5. Liaise closely with Contracts, Estimating, and Project Teams
6. Issue material enquiries in line with project plans, specifications, and drawings
