This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with operational colleagues to understand and interpret the financial implications of both business as usual and service developments and ideas. The post holder will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, undertaking variance/trend analysis as appropriate and preparing financial forecasts in conjunction with operational managers. They will be a key contributor to the development, approval and implementation of efficiency schemes and projects impacting the financial position of the Division.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will prepare regular financial position statements, trend analyses, forecasts and annual budgets during the operational planning process for designated areas of responsibility and present this information to the Finance Business Partner. The post holder will support the wider planning process and contribute to the efficient and flexible management of resources within the clinical Division.
Person Specification
* Evidence of CPD, or accounting upskilling
* Experience in medium or large Finance department
* Evidence of ability to present complex financial information clearly
* Evidence of experience in providing support to cost improvement programmes
* Evidence of an ability to communicate well to a wider range of stakeholders
* Evidence of analytical and reasoning skills
* Evidence of being able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
* Evidence of (intermediate to advanced) proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* CCAB Qualified
* Educated to degree level
* Experience of knowledge of NHS Finance structures and frameworks
* Evidence of strategic or innovative thinking

Salary: £39,959 to £56,515 per annum, pro rata if part time.
