Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £89.38 per day (paid weekly)

Are you passionate about supporting young learners in a Welsh-medium setting? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant to work in a warm and welcoming Welsh-medium primary school in Penarth (CF64). You’ll support pupils from Nursery to Year 2, helping to deliver play-based, creative, and immersive Welsh-language learning experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting the class teacher with daily routines and Welsh-medium activities
Helping children develop early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills through small group and 1:1 support
Encouraging learning through play, storytime, outdoor exploration, and arts-based activities
Supporting snack time, toileting, and general wellbeing needs
Creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels supported
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:
Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written – essential)
Friendly, reliable, and passionate about working with young children
Enthusiastic about play-based and early years education
Experienced or confident working with pupils aged 3–7
Available for full-time, term-time hours (Monday to Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
