Job description
Our commercial consultancy client are seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors with proven expertise in NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract frameworks, ideally within the water or utilities sector across the South.
You will play a key role in supporting commercial and project teams to ensure effective cost and contract management across a portfolio of infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation involved in delivering key water infrastructure programs, with a strong pipeline of work under various frameworks in AMP8. Key Responsibilities:
1. Administer and manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Options A, C, and E.
2. Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and valuations.
3. Conduct risk, value management, and cost control throughout projects.
4. Support tendering processes and the assessment of subcontractor applications.
5. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
6. Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and supply chain partners.
7. Assist with the resolution of disputes and preparation of claims.
8. Monitor and report on commercial performance and provide cost advice.
Skills/experience/qualifications
9. Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.
10. Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
11. Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial role.
12. Experience in the water, utilities, or civil engineering sectors.
13. Experience working on AMP frameworks (e.g., AMP7, AMP8).
14. Membership or working toward RICS, ICES, or similar professional body.
15. Familiarity with cost management tools (e.g., CEMAR, Oracle, COINS, etc.).
