Research Inclusion and Engagement Support Officer (Part-Time)
Grade 5 £29,588 - £33,951 pa pro rata
We are seeking a proactive and community‑focused Research Inclusion and Engagement Support Officer to support the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC). This partnership of over 80 organisations works to reduce health inequalities through applied health and social care research.
You will support the Research Inclusion Lead and wider ARC NWC team to champion inclusive research inclusion practices across the region. The role focuses on increasing awareness of research opportunities, particularly among underserved communities, and strengthening relationships with service users, carers, voluntary groups and local partners.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate public involvement activities.
* Organise engagement events.
* Contribute to social media promotion.
* Support training in patient and public involvement.
* Produce reports to monitor engagement impact.
* Work with partners to embed a strong research culture.
Qualifications and Experience
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Confidence to build effective partnerships.
* 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
Hours: 21 per week. The post will be available until 31 March 2031. The university operates a hybrid work environment for staff, with a current minimum requirement of 40% on Campus and 60% considered desirable where possible.
