Join our Ecommerce UX & Delivery team in a fantastic opportunity within one of the UK's most exciting retail businesses. Reporting to the Head of UX and Digital Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering our digital roadmap projects and providing technical support for Web and App requests. Collaborate with a well-established UX and Front-End Development team experienced in a fast-paced agile environment, including UX researchers, designers, developers, data analysts, UX executives, and project managers.
Responsibilities
1. Support large-scale development, continuous improvements, and daily updates with the development team.
2. Build reusable components and libraries, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
3. Work closely with the UX team to meet technical requirements for web projects, experimentation, and personalization.
4. Utilize design systems like Figma to ensure consistent, user-friendly UI/UX.
5. Develop key landing and campaign pages.
6. Maintain and innovate headless responsive modules.
7. Use our CMS to develop and enhance content modules.
8. Collaborate with the Technical Analyst on tracking optimizations.
9. Coordinate with digital platform and hosting providers for technical support.
10. Provide technical assistance for Web & App requests across teams.
11. Conduct extensive QA on technical projects before release.
12. Liaise with IT & infrastructure teams on joint projects.
13. Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, secure, scalable, and performant solutions.
14. Research best practices and recommend technical improvements and innovations.
15. Mentor Junior Front-End Developers, if applicable.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of professional experience in large-scale front-end development within an agile environment.
* Proficiency in React.js & TypeScript, with a focus on modular, maintainable, and well-typed code.
* Familiarity with Node.js, especially for server-side rendering and backend communication.
* Experience integrating RESTful APIs into front-end projects.
* Knowledge of A/B testing, experimentation, and personalization tools like Monetate.
* Experience with version control workflows and CI/CD platforms such as Buddy.works.
* Strong ecommerce knowledge, including web standards, accessibility, SEO, and best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
* Commitment to high-quality coding standards.
* Effective communicator with the ability to share ideas clearly.
* Ability to react swiftly based on data and trading information.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
