We are now looking for a Communications Manager to join our team for a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate on some of our most high-profile projects, supporting our senior leadership team, including our chief executive and board members.

About the Role
Coordinate and draft high quality corporate communications, including our annual report, to drive understanding of the Guardian's unique ownership model and organisational achievements.
You will be responsible for maintaining a drumbeat of activity through the year, building a programme of internal and external creative campaigns to support this work.
Be part of the on-call media rota with other members of the communications team, coordinate and draft responses to inquiries for approval.
Be part of the team that works on board communications and presentations for senior management.

About You
You will have excellent written, verbal and editing skills, and experience in writing and creating a wide variety of high quality communication materials in a news, media or editorial environment.
In depth understanding and experience of working with senior stakeholders on multiple communications and/or writing projects to tight deadlines.
This role requires strong stakeholder liaison skills, alongside a proactive willingness to learn strategic communications principles from senior leaders within the team
A passion for Guardian journalism and the ability to write well.

We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.

You'll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days. Our pension scheme is generous; if you contribute 5% then we will contribute 8-12% (depending on your age).
