A proud equal opportunity employer, we passionately embrace team member diversity and provide a positive and inclusive working environment for all.About the roleReporting to the Digital Platform Test Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of testing on behalf of IT for a number of major Digital initiatives. As we embark on a period of rapid transformation you will play a key role in ensuring that projects remain in line with our strategic test objectives and will be an ambassador for software quality.Within this role you will:Drive the end-to-end delivery of testing (functional and non-functional) within timescale, cost and quality constraintsManage dependencies between testing phases and projects across multiple technology stacks and delivery workstreamsReview project test estimates and monitor actual costs to maintain financial accuracyEnsure stakeholders are well managed and test progress is accurately and regularly reportedManage test partner resource, including Test Managers, SDETs, Quality Engineers and Test AnalystsEffectively lead, mentor and coach Test Team Members to ensure all colleagues are working together cohesivelyWork alongside our internal colleagues and partner teams to foster a mindset of innovation and improvements within Quality EngineeringWhat you’ll need to haveProven experience working in a test management roleExperience of working within an agile software delivery environmentExperience of managing the end to end testing lifecycle, including functional and non-functional phases, across large projects and programmesExperience of leading partner test teams across a number of geographical locationsUnderstanding of principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing activities involved in planning and delivering software testing within projectsThe ability to explain, simplify and communicate complex messages to both technical and non-technical colleaguesIt would be great if you also haveTest management experience in a Retail and / or Digital landscapeOur benefitsRetirement Savings PlanDiscretionary annual bonusGenerous employee discountsEnhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a childFlexible benefits scheme including holiday buying, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and more.Access to free, 24/7 counselling and support through TELUS Health, our Employee Assistance Programme.We have a great range of benefits in addition to the above that offer flexibility to suit you - find out more at boots.jobs/rewards.
