Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Construction Site Manager to oversee residential projects and daily site operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, proven site supervision experience, and a thorough understanding of residential construction processes.
The role involves coordinating with clients, sub-contractors, trades, managing project programmes, and ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 requirements in the capacity of Principal Contractor. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, to specification, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards and driving efficient site performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations and ensure works progress according to the programme
Supervise subcontractors, labour teams, and suppliers to ensure quality and productivity
Develop and monitor project schedules, adjusting where required to meet deadlines
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors to maintain clear communication
Enforce health & safety standards and carry out regular site inspections
Prepare progress reports for senior management and clients
Identify risks, delays, or technical issues and implement corrective solutions
Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, and Building Regulations
Requirements
Proven management experience within the residential construction sector
Demonstrated experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and programme tracking
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Working knowledge of Building Regulations and construction health & safety legislation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Relevant construction qualification (desirable, not essential)
Full UK Driving License with a car
