The opportunity
As Onshore Wind Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting and managing the implementation of EDF Renewables UK & Ireland's Zero Harm ambitions across the onshore wind portfolio, from development to operations and maintenance.
Your focus will be on applying risk control measures, from safe-by-design principles during development to managing high-risk activities like construction, operations, and maintenance, while learning from events.
Working within a matrix organization, collaboration with H&S colleagues across the portfolio, including other business units and the Corporate HSE Team, is essential.

What you'll be doing
You will be part of a team of H&S Specialists, providing support, input, and advice throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on supporting business H&S needs. You will visit onshore wind assets across the UK and Ireland to promote a Zero Harm culture and build relationships with field-based teams. Travel outside the UK & Ireland, mainly France, may be required, with a company vehicle provided.
Responsibilities include:
* Setting high HSE standards and providing visible safety leadership.
* Creating a safety-first environment where individuals take ownership.
* Implementing EDF Renewables UK & Ireland H&S policies.
* Supporting H&S management systems and procedures.
* Representing the company at H&S forums and events.
* Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
* Acting as a role model for H&S standards.
* Overseeing H&S procedures for Onshore Wind.
* Contributing to risk management processes.
What do you need to be great at this role?
Current experience in a health and safety environment or as a wind farm technician aiming to move into a dedicated H&S role. We offer training and development, including certifications like NEBOSH and IOSH.
Ideally, you will have:
* Experience managing H&S in projects and multi-site environments.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Experience in engineering, construction, or wind farms (desirable).
* High voltage equipment knowledge (desirable).
* Chartered IOSH member or working towards CMIOSH (not essential).
* GWO training/certificates (desirable).
* Ability to work at heights (desirable).

Location: Between Wales, Midlands, and Peterborough, with UK-wide travel. Company vehicle provided.
