About the role
Step into the classroom as a Cover Supervisor and take the lead when the class teacher is away. You’ll guide groups of around 30 students, following fully prepared lesson plans, keeping learning on track, managing the classroom atmosphere, and making sure the teacher returns to a smooth handover.

Over the past two years, our programme has helped many trainees go on to secure permanent school contracts thanks to glowing feedback from headteachers. You’ll also work with our partner schools across Greater Manchester, where you’ll be welcomed into a supportive environment that encourages you to grow.
What we’re looking for
If you’re ready to inspire young people, we’d love to hear from you. To be considered, you should:
1. Have natural leadership skills and the confidence to run a lesson in the teacher’s absence.
2. Bring experience of working with young people — perhaps in sports coaching, mentoring, or a similar role.
3. Be able to provide suitable references, hold a valid DBS check, and have the Right to Work in the UK.
