The Role
* Set and operate presses.
* Deputise for the Shift Team Leader when required.
* Produce quality parts while meeting output targets.
* Carry out checks in line with ISO procedures.
* Ensure quality standards are met and high standards of housekeeping are maintained.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
* Attend meetings and contribute ideas for improvements.
* Work effectively as part of a team.
* Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others at all times.
* Assist in developing the competencies of team members by identifying training and development needs, and working with the Team Leader and Production Planner to address them.
Shift Pattern:
Rotating shifts – one week on 6:00am – 2:00pm, followed by one week on 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
The Candidate
Experience setting and operating production machinery.
Experience operating press brake machinery would be highly beneficial.
Manufacturing experience with a mechanical background.
Numerate and literate.
Ability to read technical drawings would be desirable.
PC literate.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £13 – £17 per hour, with OTE of circa £36,000 – £45,000
