Are you passionate about inspiring young people to discover the joy of reading? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Librarian to manage our school library and play a vital role in fostering a love of reading across our community.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the library remains a welcoming and exciting space for all students.
* Work with the English department to provide a wide range of engaging and age-appropriate reading materials.
* Deliver targeted reading interventions to support less confident readers.
* Organise and promote events such as World Book Day and other literacy celebrations.
* Manage and catalogue resources, supervise library use, and encourage responsible conduct.
* Promote the library internally and externally, raising its profile across the school.
Requirements
* Enthusiastic about literature and passionate about supporting students in their reading journey
* Organised, proactive, and confident in managing resources
* Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
* Committed to safeguarding, equal opportunities, and the wider ethos of the school
