Delivery Lead - Marketing Technology

Overview
We are seeking a Delivery Lead to manage and develop our marketing technology and partner with leaders in the business and IT to effectively shape IT demand that will deliver business and client value. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead a delivery team responsible for driving outcomes for marketing by owning all aspects of software delivery in partnership with the Product Manager, while collaborating closely with a Solutions Architect, Technical Lead and User Experience Design Lead.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead talent management by evaluating performance, providing targeted feedback, coaching, and supporting crew skill development.
* Support crew in building skills, staying abreast of technology advancements in their discipline, and improving business acumen.
* Lead the team in ways that cultivate psychological safety and support.
* Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the team, enabling innovation events, encouraging process improvements per quarter, and fostering a culture of experimentation and learning by celebrating successes and failures.
* Ensure Technical Leads are held to defined and documented expectations, standards, and best practices (e.g., coaching of junior crew, fostering collaboration, promoting testing standards, deployment best practices, CI/CD processes).
* Partner with the Product Manager to help evolve the product vision, make trade‑offs, and manage technical dependencies.
* Support Technical Lead to define the technical vision and ensure integrity and compliance with Vanguard's standards and vision.
* Steward the team and its relationships with key stakeholders.
* Coordinate across teams to create a consistent strategy for the functional area and advise senior leadership on strategic decision‑making relevant to building products and delivering services.
* Work closely with Agile Coaches on supporting Product Managers to prepare inputs for the Quarterly Business Review and Big Room Planning as per the LPM framework; key outputs include plan, roadmap and detailed capability/epic definition.
* Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies; evaluate alternatives for modifications to systems/frameworks and recommend or make decisions on solutions that meet long‑term business objectives and current organisational requirements.
* Understand the economics of the products we are delivering and support fiscal planning activities (e.g., total cost of ownership, value, scalability).
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Seven years experience in technical specialty.
* Two to three years demonstrated leadership experience preferred with proven ability to coach and mentor.
* Strong, demonstrated analysis and problem‑solving skills.
* Broad knowledge of the financial services industry.
* Knowledge of Marketing Technologies including Adobe platforms.
* Expert knowledge of the following technical lead practices and concepts.
* Strong communication skills, e.g., ability to articulate concise and clear explanations of complex technical ideas and solutions.
