What Will You Work On?
In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical duties related to the operation of a patient/resident care area, such as:
1. Prioritizing, processing, coordinating, and transcribing physicians’ orders;
2. Acting as a communication link for the Unit;
3. Scheduling, booking, and coordinating patient/resident appointments;
4. Assembling and maintaining patient/resident charts, inputting patient/resident data, and transcribing information into relevant systems such as MARS, Kardex, Careplan, charts, or electronic health record systems;
5. Performing clerical duties including keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing and maintaining statistics, producing reports, delivering and picking up items, maintaining unit supply levels, and recording meeting minutes;
6. Maintaining timekeeping records for staff and submitting them to payroll systems;
7. Observing patient/resident call signals and relaying messages to the appropriate personnel.
Application Requirements

1. A 5-minute typing test (40+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted). For testing details, refer to the provided link.
2. A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate
3. Your Resume outlining two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
4. A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and your on-call, casual work preferences (e.g., days of the week).
