£110,000 + car allowance + excellent benefitsAbout the RoleTML Recruitment is partnering with a leading property consultancy to appoint a Director / Senior Director in Business Rates. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on strengthening technical capability within a high-performing rating team and driving strategic growth across the UK. You will lead a rating team across the North of the UKoverseeing complex rating instructions and providing technical expertise on large-scale, challenging sites, particularly industrial and specialist properties. This is a business critical hire, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the team and influence national strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:Deliver expert advice on complex rating matters, including large industrial and multi-use sites.Act as the go-to technical authority within the team.Team Management:Lead and develop the Northern Rating Team, ensuring high standards and knowledge transfer.Support succession planning and mentor junior colleagues.Client Delivery:Manage relationships with major national clients (e.g., manufacturing, logistics, defense, government).Ensure service excellence and identify opportunities to grow revenue from existing accounts.Strategic Contribution:Work closely with senior leadership to shape rating strategy and operational priorities.Drive efficiencies and best practice across the team.What Were Looking ForExperience:Proven track record in business rates (rating) with strong technical capability.Ideally MRICS qualified (preferred but not essential).Sector Knowledge:Experience with complex industrial sites highly desirable but not essential.Leadership Skills:Ability to lead a regional team and influence wider business strategy.Commercial Acumen:Strong client-facing skills and ability to identify growth opportunities.Package & BenefitsCompetitive base salary (£100K£110K).Car allowance (£8K).Excellent pension (up to 12.5% employer contribution).2830 days holiday plus bank holidays.Comprehensive benefits package.Why Apply?Join a respected consultancy with a strong client base and national footprint.Play a key role in shaping the technical future of the rating team.Opportunity to lead high-profile projects and work with major UK brands.TPBN1_UKTJ
