At Snap Children's Home, we're preparing to open a new home and seek a passionate Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to lead our three-bedded children's home in Nottingham. This role involves providing care and support for children with emotional and behavioral challenges. If you do not hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, we will enroll you in the qualification upon joining our team. Main Responsibilities
* Service: Development and delivery of high-quality care in line with legislation, regulations, and policies. Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety compliance, proper record-keeping, providing management reports, overseeing admissions/discharges, decision-making, and promoting innovative childcare practices.
* Human Resource Management: Involvement in recruitment, induction, supervision, training, staff development, managing rotas, handling expenses, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
* Financial and Resource Management: Monitoring the service budget, maintaining premises and equipment.
* External: Promoting the organization positively with external agencies and the public, fostering relationships with commissioners/referrals, and participating in leadership forums.
Experience & Qualifications
* A minimum Level 3/4 diploma with experience in a senior role in a Children's Residential Home.
* Strong knowledge of EBD and challenging behavior.
* At least 2 years of experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
* Over 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role within such a setting.
* Minimum Level 3 Residential Child Care Diploma, with willingness to work towards Level 5.
Licenses & Certifications
* Driving Licence (Preferred but not essential).
* Level 4 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care & Children and Young People Services (Essential).
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Preferred).
