An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join the Manchester team. We are looking for a motivated, hands on individual with a background in Facilities Management. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with great organisational skills, dedicated and committed to making a positive impact on our office environment. The working hours for this role would be Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5:30pm and this role is based in the office 5 days a week. As the Receptionist, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of an efficient, fun and dynamic facilities service, to provide an exceptional workplace experience for our people. You will ensure systems and services are delivered professionally and efficiently, liaising effectively with team members, building management teams and external contractors. You will also: Be a welcoming face and a warm courteous and prompt welcome on arrival for all visitors at the reception desk. To handle all incoming telephone calls / enquiries promptly giving a warm, courteous welcome. Assist with meeting room bookings as required and to liaise with relevant parties to ensure the delivery of a professional service. Taking care of our people and visitors. Online communication with our employees via email and Slack, answering any queries or concerns. To replenish meeting rooms, as required with stationery, refreshments and all hospitality is served promptly and to the highest standards. Daily building walk rounds, reporting faults, building issues and housekeeping. Ensuring the office, meeting rooms and kitchens are tidy and fully stocked with refreshments. Carry out floor walking activities ensuring all areas are tidy, clean, organised and presentable. Taking on new tasks and assisting the wider UK Facilities team as and when required. Receiving and processing the organisation's incoming and outgoing post and following due procedures. Various administrative tasks to support the business; printing and posting ad hoc letters received in the Facilities inbox. Health and Safety responsibilities including admin and updating H&S signage/info posters. Log all issues (air con temperature, lighting, broken doors/furniture, utility usage etc), organising repair works with building management and contractors. Ensure external contractors attend site as per maintenance schedule and that all necessary documentation including RAMS and training certificates are available in advance. Act as a First Aider, Fire Warden for the office. Assisting with the receiving of goods and equipment and storing deliveries. Assisting with the on site merchandise, stock, deliveries and distribution. Maintain open communications and relationships with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders to help improve service levels. Requirements Experience as a Receptionist in a corporate environment This is an ideal position for someone approachable, fun and enthusiastic! You will need good IT and administration skills, close attention to detail, ability to juggle a range of tasks in a frontline role and first class customer service skills. A proactive approach will need to be taken to ensure the prompt resolution of all day-to-day challenges associated with the running of the Starling Bank offices.
