We are a Local Authority maintained school and part of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity to join our lovely staff team as School Caretaker / Maintenance. You will be required to work under the line management of the Headteacher and school office staff to assist with the general maintenance, safety and security of the school grounds and buildings. Working hours are 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. This would include the school holidays with allocated annual leave to be arranged with the Headteacher according to the school’s needs. You will: be honest, reliable and hardworking be able to work using your own initiative have good DIY skills and be able to carry out minor repairs and jobs around the school site with competence have a high level of health and safety awareness be flexible and cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff take pride in the appearance and condition of the school previous experience as a plumber or electrician would be desirable.
