Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – KS1

Start Date: September 2026
Are you a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic individual looking to support young learners in a primary school setting? We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in central Chelmsford seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their KS1 team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s development, particularly those with additional needs.
The Role:
* Provide classroom support within Key Stage 1
* Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and engagement
* Offer 1:1 and small group support where required
* Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD
* Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Requirements:
* Experience working with children (school-based or similar)
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
Development Opportunities:
* Willingness to complete training over the summer to enhance skills
* Opportunity to develop knowledge in supporting SEN needs, including Autism (ASD)
