We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse/Despatch Supervisor to join our dynamic team at our Wynyard site. This is an important role within our warehouse/distribution operations ideal for a driven individual with a passion for warehousing, logistics, team leadership, and operational excellence in a fast-paced food environment.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off shift pattern rotating days -7am - 7pm and nights - 6pm - 6am
Pay : £29,564.16 per annum

What you will be doing:
As our Warehouse/Despatch Team Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient intake, storage, and delivery of all stock and goods. Youll lead a dedicated team of Stock Controllers and Pickers, ensuring the seamless movement of products internally and externally, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee stock receipt accuracy and coordinate with production sites on delivery schedules.
Monitor and reconcile stock levels ensuring real-time, accurate reporting twice daily.
Support the Stock Controller in investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
Supervise the team and picking process, maintaining efficiency, customer satisfaction, and product integrity.
Enforce rigorous stock rotation and temperature control policies.
Ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of goods to internal and external customers.
Liaise with hauliers and site teams for order planning, product availability, and special deliveries.
Maintain full accuracy in despatch notes, load sheets, and customer shortage reporting.
Oversee weekend system shutdowns in accordance with protocols.
Line-manage and support a team of Order Pickers and Stock Controllers.
Drive team performance, training, attendance, and compliance.
Continuously seek to improve departmental systems, processes, and customer service standards.
Who we are looking for:
Proven experience in dispatch, warehouse, or logistics supervision ideally in the food or FMCG sector.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop a team.
Excellent organisational and computer skills (e.g. stock systems, reporting tools).
A positive can-do attitude and hands-on approach to solving problems and driving improvements.
A commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
