5. Contribute to Azure-aligned design and landing zone adoption.
6. Collaborate with Cloud Engineering to ensure patterns related to identity, governance, networking, and security are applied.
7. Provide architectural input into cloud migration approaches without requiring deep hands-on expertise.
8. Align infrastructure designs with enterprise backup, recovery, and cyber resilience capabilities.
9. Support the adoption of modern protection patterns across key workloads and platforms.
10. Understand Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and ensure infrastructure patterns support automation and repeatability.
11. Work alongside engineering teams using CI/CD tools and DevOps pipelines to ensure architectural alignment.
12. Present solutions to governance forums and articulate decisions clearly.
13. Identify architectural risks, constraints, and dependencies early in the design process.
14. Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Architects, Product Owners, and Engineers to ensure cohesive end-to-end designs.
15. Support operational readiness, acceptance criteria, and service transition.
Essential Skills
16. Broad infrastructure architecture experience spanning networking, security, identity, compute, storage, and operational tooling.
17. Strong architectural documentation and communication capability.
18. experience operating in large, complex enterprise environments.
19. Understanding of cloud concepts, preferably Azure, and the ability to shape cloud-aligned designs.
20. Ability to define and embed non-functional requirements such as performance, resilience, security, and operability.
21. Collaborative approach with strong influencing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
22. experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or pensions.
23. Familiarity with EA modelling languages (ArchiMate, C4) and tooling (Ardoq, LeanIX, Orbus) at an awareness level.

25. Awareness of modern container platforms such as AKS.
26. Understanding of IaC approaches and DevOps-aligned delivery practices.
